Our washing machine has broken. Throwback to happy student days sitting in the launderette keeping warm!
Having fun with the photographer. No photo today so just choosing a favourite from the weekend
The roses are blooming again!
The day after the day before. Tired. Mixed feelings. Another Oxfam medal but it doesn’t seem so special when we didn’t finish as a full team. On the other hand I am proud that the three of us picked ourselves up and managed to get in under last year’s time after we lost Jo at 65km.
Oxfam trailwalk. A big day. Anticipation, excitement, disappointment, emotion. 100km done and dusted.
Perfect weather for a long walk but this afternoon just a stroll along the beach to get some fresh air. I even had a swim in the sea – surprised how warm it still is. Hopefully get a chance to have another dip before the end of the weekend. One more sleep.
Two sleeps to go! After 3 hours in a car and 3 and a half hours sitting down in a school today, a walk to the pub for 3 beer Thursday seemed to beckon! Glorious sunset. This beer was called Yellow Eye.
Another piece of artwork created over the weekend at Steele Park, Grey Street.
Last weekend there was a street art festival in Hamilton. Walls were identified around Hamilton East and in the town centre that were ripe for artwork. We saw this space on Grey Street being painted on Friday night. Today I sought it out to see the result. Stunning! I love that these artworks are tucked away…little treasures and splashes of creativity in the drabness of the city.
Early morning hockey training means walks around the lake again. What a beautiful morning!
