Rā 195 Rāhoroi 15 o Hōngongoi

Well, we were hopeful for a win and the boys started well but faded and lost in the last five minutes. But the early game meant we had time to go out to Akaroa.

It was a beautiful day, spectacular views and a walk up the hill and through some interesting forest.  The Purple Peak Curry Reserve is a regenerating forest with a range of native and intriduced species, the most distinctive of which are the Tree Fuchsias.  So many photos to choose from but I chose this one in the forest.

Another loss but a very close one. Boys were gutted and so were we! In between working we walked to the art galleries. Interesting collaborative projects in COCA, the contemporary art gallery. Then the main gallery with a real mixture of styles.

Standout for me was this one in COCO – a joint project which is a textile representation of tukutuku.
