It was a beautiful winter day out there today. Clear blue sky but bloody freezing! Coffee this morning and a run this afternoon out at Lake Ngaroto. My fastest 5km so far so pretty pleased.
Recovery day…the boys kept going til 3.00am last night at the citizenship celebration party! Connect 4 competition was more sedate than beer pong!
We became citizens today.
I had the pleasure of tasting a Japanese custard cake with giraffe patterns on it. Delicious!
A hockey win today! The boys played well as a team and it paid off.
Day 65 of the 100 Day Project. Today’s kupu o te rā is tapahi(a), tapatapahi(a): cut, dice
These chocolates from She chocolate makers in Akaroa are delicious. So rich that we needed to share by chopping them in half.
Escaped the freeze in my home office to the local cafe! Legstretch, circulation boost and good caffeine fix. Love these two dogs!
21km up, down and round Kakepuku. Last 5km were pretty brutal on my hip and it was maybe not the best plan after a gal on Friday… But, hey, we do these things! The view was better than last time.
Think I got a wee whiplash/concussion from my fall yesterday. Felt nauseous every time I moved. Excuse to try and stay still on the sofa! Managed to get it to watch Aonghas’ hockey game.
