I didn’t really need to work, anyway!
I was tempted today with the first of our red roses to bloom. But the momentous news that our new government is to be led by Jacinda Ardern really does beat that! A Labour/Green/NZFirst coalition calls for a wee celebration!
Hump day! My only photo today was the values poster from Piopio College which I visited today for work. It is interesting to see the different ways schools express the values that are part of their school vision.
Lovely to have surprise visitors from the UK. A flying visit so took a day’s leave and headed to Rotorua for our usual cultural tour of Whakrewarewa, whizz around the geothermal areas at the lake and then to Kerosene Creek. Finished the day off with dinner in Taupõ before we headed back to The Tron and they drove south to find a campsite for the night. It’s always lovely to be able to show old friends around and catch up on all the Dales gossip!
Feeling my age….
Back out on the trails today. Felt like shit, arrived to find I had two left shoes, forgot to set my watch going but managed to grind out 23km so pretty stoked. Even managed a sneaky dip in the secret hot pool!
Old souks in their element. Not sure when we got to be our parents! Comfortable in our skins though.
